Picture Portrait wearing tips:
To make the most of your portrait experience, follow some simple, yet important guidelines regarding clothing colors and
styles. Keep in mind, the ultimate goal of your portraits is to make your face/belly the focal point and not your clothing.
- Basic
colors and classic styles are always timeless. Black, navy, denim, white, ivory, khaki, darker shades of green and most earth
tones are great colors.
- Solid and muted colors are preferred as to not distract from the subjects in the portrait.
Clothes without patterns are suggested.
- Clothing choices should reflect the type of session you're having created.
For example, we don't recommend formal attire for a casual outdoor portrait. For belly portrait, shirts that button
down the front are best (black or white). Pants with an elastic waist that can bend under the belly are recommended.
- Long
sleeved shirts or blouses are highly recommended. This advice is especially important for women. The right type of clothing
will compliment all figures.
- Ladies, remember to apply your make-up a bit heavier than usual. Your normal make-up
will be over powered by the photographic lighting. Call us for more details.
