What is a pregnancy belly cast?

A pregnancy belly cast is a plaster cast made of an expecting mom's beautiful pregnant form capturing her exact shape. The belly cast enables moms to have a lasting memory of their pregnancy.  What is unique about belly casts are that they give you a tangible 3D sculpture.   Photos and video can't capture an expecting mom's shape the way a pregnancy belly cast can.  Belly casts enable a mom to forever remember how she looked during her pregnancy and the special nine months she shared with her growing baby.  Also for your child to see what you looked like when they were inside you.

What types of material is used in Belly Cast?

The materials are non-toxic, no chemical heat, harmless, and painless.  I use Vaseline as a barrier between the skin and the casting material.  This will ensure that the casting material will not pull fine hairs.  Vaseline will not clog pores or cause any other adverse reactions.  It is fragrance free, hypoallergenic, and does not contain any dyes or colors.

When should I have a cast made?

It depends on your personal taste.  My personal preference is between weeks 37 - 40.

Where and How would the casts be done?

At a place that you feel most comfortable - most likely your home would be ideal since it is private and you will be wearing minimal clothing.  Also after the casting you may want to shower to rinse off any casting material.  Mom sit on a chair.  First Vaseline is applied then the casting material to the torso.  It is quite soothing and relaxing since the casting material is warm.  About 10 minutes is allotted for drying and then it is lifted away from the body.  I will take the casting with me to allow time for curing, seal it, and add some hardware for hanging.  The cast will be given back in it pure white form unless you desire some other art finishes.  These other finishes will increase the fee of the cast and will have to be contracted by the type of specific request wanted.
